A unique location in Amsterdam with international allure, a sparkling atmosphere and exceptionally fantastic food. A blend of Miami, Barcelona and the Côte d’Azur: an industrial location – an old wine terminal – turned fashionable chic. Stop by and be surprised by the immense space (2200m2), the “top notch styled” interior, the six-meter-long fish showcase, the high-quality cooking and the sixteen-meter-long mural by neo pop art artist Selwyn Senatori.
The Harbour Club is very easy to reach by sloop but is located somewhat out of the center in Amsterdam East, it is about a 45-minute boat ride from the center.
The new restaurant MOS Amsterdam is run by chef Egon van Hoof (former kitchen chef of Stefan van Sprang’s star restaurant Aan de Poel in Amstelveen) and maître-sommelier Henry Pattiwael van Westerloo (former maître-sommelier of Fitou in Loosdrecht). MOS Amsterdam has a French-international kitchen working with pure and honest ingredients and many seasonal products. Egon van Hoof, trained by Ron Blaauw among others, says: “The location, the unique space and the great view over the IJ make this the location for our new restaurant.”
Restaurant MOS is located at Amsterdam’s newest harbor, ijdock marina and is therefore very easy to reach by sloop.
A unique terrace on the water at the Dijksgracht 4. Easy to reach by public transport at walking distance from the central station. A very suitable location to have a drink or something to eat after a cruise.
- The best steak in Amsterdam – or in the world?
Either way, people come to Loetje from far and wide to eat the best steak in the country. Loetje now has several locations in Amsterdam, all of which can be easily reached by boat.
In the heart of Oud-Zuid, where the five Amsterdam canals meet, you will find The Harbour Club Kitchen. A unique restaurant concept located on a historic piece of Amsterdam by the water and housed in the four-star Wyndham Apollo Hotel. This location is perfectly accessible by sloop.
Café-Restaurant Riva aan de Amstel is characterized by international cuisine, an extensive wine list and a beautiful terrace on the Amstel River. You can visit us for lunch, drinks and dinner. From 18:00 there is free parking at the Rembrandt Tower (4 min walking distance). This is an excellent place to dine after a cruise on the canals, take into account about 25 minutes sailing time from the center.
- Located between the Tropenmuseum and the Amsterdam city zoo Artis, on the edge of the center you will find Restaurant Elkaar. At Restaurant Elkaar is a cozy and informal atmosphere that is enhanced by the changing exhibitions of various modern artists. At stylishly laid tables, enjoy French-Mediterranean à la carte dishes or one of the changing menus.
The spacious terrace overlooking the old city gate, is a unique place for an extended lunch or romantic dinner. Here you can sit delightfully among the trees by the water with beautiful views.
The Ysbreeker is a café-restaurant at Weesperzijde 23 on the Amstel River. The name is derived from the icebreaker that lay in front of the door from 1702 until around 1860 to keep the waters of the Amstel free of ice during periods of frost. The Ysbreker has a very varied menu for both lunch and dinner and is a perfect place to start or end a cruise.
Waterkant was inspired by the most beautiful part of Paramaribo on the Suriname River. As in Suriname, Waterkant is located in the city center on the waterfront and is the ultimate place to relax, connect and enjoy. It is a place where people get to know each other, regardless of origin, age, gender or social class. The menu features not only typical Surinamese products such as the traditional Parbo beer and Roti, but also Angus burger and chicken on a spit. Definitely the place for a nice after work drink, a nice meal and some sunshine! Slide right in because everyone is welcome. Waterkant is located under the Q-park garage Europarking. This is our favorite pick-up or drop-off spot.
Cafes
For years Hesp has been a popular nightlife and meeting place for young and old, business guests, regulars, students, tourists and local residents. Cafe Hesp is known for its wide range of drinks. For example, they have 20 beers on tap and there is a choice of various pouring wines. The restaurant offers a wide choice of both small dishes and our specialties from the menu. The terrace on the water of the Amstel river is full of sunshine and is very well accessible by boat. This location is also very suitable as an embarkation or disembarkation point.
Brewery ‘t IJ is an Amsterdam brewery where only specialty beers are brewed. The brewery is located in the east of the city. The beer is brewed at two locations. On Funenkade, next to Molen de Gooyer, all of the brewery’s draft beers are brewed. The brewery’s tasting room is also located at this location.
- Cafe De Pieper on the corner of Prinsengracht and Leidsegracht has been around since 1665. It is a bit sagging, but beautifully in its old condition: stained glass windows, everything brown. There is little room at the small and low bar, but fortunately there are many small tables. Sitting at them is a good cross-section of Amsterdam’s population: from coiffed gentlemen to groups of bubbly colleagues. They also come here for the great service; in fact, guys in white shirts and ties serve you right to your table here.
Proeflokaal Arendsnest only serves beer from these Dutch breweries. They have as many as 30 beers on tap and more than 100 in the bottle. At Herengracht 90, you can find very special homegrown beer for more than 15 years. It has become a household name among lovers of Dutch beer. And they are proud of it. Our staff knows all about the café’s specialties and is happy to tell you about them. The café has an attractive taproom, a waterside terrace and a tasting room where they organize beer tastings for groups of up to 32 people. In the café, guests can not only enjoy a nice glass of beer but also learn about it.
Cafe ‘t Smalle Drinking in the Jordaan in Amsterdam has a special history. On the site of the current café, Pieter Hoppe started a liqueur and gin distillery in 1780. Cafe ‘t Smalle is one of the nicest old pubs in the Jordaan on a truly unique corner location overlooking both the Egelantiersgracht and the Prinsengracht. The limited difference in height from street level to the canal, makes the premises of ‘t Smalle one of the most beautiful spots in the Jordaan and a particularly photogenic location. Especially in nice weather, when the terrace is open, this is an ideal and picturesque place-to-be for both Amsterdam residents and tourists. Sloops and small boats can be moored at the jetty. ‘t Smalle Drinken is a great starting and ending point to discover the special places of the old center and the Jordaan on foot.
